I made green onion pancake! Super easy! The dough is the same as potstickers.
2 c. Flour
1 c. Warm water
1/4 c. Veggie or canola oil
Kosher salt to taste
1 bunch of green onions, chopped
Mix flour and water into a sticky dough, kneed on floured counter until its lumpless and shape into a ball. Use a tablespoon of oil and coat ball and place back in bowl, covered with damp towel. Store for 30 mins.
Cut dough into 4 sections. On floured counter top roll dough thinly and brush with oil and sprinkle with salt. Sprinkle chopped onion over thin dough and then roll up like cinnamon roll. Make sure to pinch the ends and smooth out any onions poking out! Then cut into two sections and roll into a ball. Take the ball and roll out with rolling pin into a thin pancake, about a 1/4 in or so!
Heat up frying pan on medium heat and coat with oil! Make sure the pan gets hot and put in a pancake. Each side should take 3 minutes give or take how hot the pan gets. Take out and repeat steps with all of the dough or store in the fridge for like a week tops.
I am having mine with a soy/vinegar/siriacha mixture diluted with water and leftover onion sprinkled in. I know this was a half assed recipe description but whatever ask me questions if you need to!
P:
oh goodness. I wonder if I have any green onions left??? I could make these later…
